Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Job Description

Overview of the Role:

• Collaborates with project partners to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
• Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
• Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
• Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
• Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
• Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.

The CONNECT organization is part of the Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization and is a highly agile, fast-paced, and dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable network for our customers.

The Backoffice team is part of the CONNECT organization and works on the access network which links the core network with our residential and business customers and the team is continually designing, developing and delivering software products and next-generation technologies that ultimately transforms the customer experience.

The ecosystem of our solutions on the backend and frontend areas ranges from deployments running on the cloud and on premises coding on Python, Golang, Java, Angular and using industry established products and techniques like Kubernetes, Oracle DB, OpenApis, microservices and many more. The innovating approach of our team welcome new ideas and technologies, either building them from ground-up or taking advantage of cloud services or open software solutions.
